CKIP-1 Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CKIP-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CKIP-1 (A-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Casein Kinase II-interacting protein 1 (CKIP-1), also known as pleckstrin homology domain containing family O member 1 (PLEKHO1), is a 409-amino acid protein characterized by an N-terminal pleckstrin homology domain and a putative C-terminal JUN leucine zipper interactive domain. CKIP-1 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in regulating cell growth and differentiation, making CKIP-1 important for understanding various physiological processes and potential disease mechanisms. CKIP-1 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle and heart tissues, with intermediate levels found in placenta, lung, and brain, while expression is minimal in pancreas, liver, and kidney. CKIP-1 localizes to plasma membrane of transfected COS-7 cells and is also found in plasma membrane and nucleus of human osteosarcoma cells, highlighting CKIP-1′s involvement in cellular compartmentalization and signaling. CKIP-1 interacts specifically with N terminus of CSNK2A1 and full-length CSNK2A1, but does not interact with CSNK2A2 or CSNK2B, indicating CKIP-1′s selective role in modulating casein kinase II activity, which is essential for various cellular functions.
