CIR Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CIR protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CIR (H-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CIR protein, also known as CBF-1 interacting corepressor, plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation by serving as a transcriptional repressor in the Notch signaling pathway. Specifically, CIR interacts with the recombination signal binding protein Jk (RBP-Jk), which is essential for mediating Notch1 receptor effects. Upon activation, Notch1 is cleaved and translocates to the nucleus, where RBP-Jk binding initiates transcription of target genes. CIR binding to RBP-Jk facilitates histone deacetylase complex recruitment, leading to Notch1 target gene repression, which is vital for maintaining proper cellular differentiation and development.
