CIR Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CIR protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CIR (H-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CIR protein, also known as CBF-1 interacting corepressor, plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation by serving as a transcriptional repressor in the Notch signaling pathway. Specifically, CIR interacts with the recombination signal binding protein Jk (RBP-Jk), which is essential for mediating Notch1 receptor effects. Upon activation, Notch1 is cleaved and translocates to the nucleus, where RBP-Jk binding initiates transcription of target genes. CIR binding to RBP-Jk facilitates histone deacetylase complex recruitment, leading to Notch1 target gene repression, which is vital for maintaining proper cellular differentiation and development. Given this significant role in gene regulation and interaction with key signaling pathways, anti-CIR antibody (H-1) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying cellular processes related to development and disease.
