CHIPS Antibody (JCC1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects the CHIPS protein of Staphylococcus aureus origin by western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CHIPS antibody (JCC1) is available as the non-conjugated form. The CHIPS protein, or Chemotaxis Inhibiting Protein for Staphylococcus aureus, plays a crucial role in the pathogen′s ability to evade the host immune response by inhibiting the chemotaxis of neutrophils. CHIPS achieves this by blocking the Formyl Peptide Receptor (FPR) and the C5a Receptor on neutrophils, which are essential for directing these immune cells to sites of infection. This mechanism not only allows Staphylococcus aureus to persist in the host but also highlights CHIPS as a potential target for anti-inflammatory therapies, as modulating CHIPS activity could enhance the immune response against this resilient pathogen. CHIPS (JCC1) antibody enables researchers to further investigate the role of CHIPS in immune evasion and its implications for developing new therapeutic strategies against Staphylococcus aureus infections.
