CHD5 Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CHD5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CHD5 Antibody (D-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Chromodomain helicase DNA binding protein 5 (CHD5) is a crucial member of the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family, which is integral to chromatin remodeling and DNA binding processes. CHD5 is predominantly expressed in the fetal and adult brain, where CHD5 plays a vital role in nervous system development and functions as a tumor suppressor through the Arf/p53 pathway. CHD5 is involved in the formation of remodeling complexes, such as the NuRD complex, which is essential for normal neuroblast maturation and helps prevent neuronal cell overexpression. The structural integrity of CHD5 is critical, as errors in chromatin remodeling can lead to uncontrolled cell growth, inhibiting differentiation and potentially resulting in tumor formation. Deletions in the gene encoding CHD5 are frequently observed in neuroblastomas, indicating that CHD5 deficiency may contribute to malignant cell transformation and metastasis, underscoring CHD5′s significance in maintaining proper brain development and function.
