SEE ALSO...

CGNL1 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CGNL1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CGNL1 antibody (E-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CGNL1, also known as cingulin-like 1 or junction-associated coiled-coil protein, is a critical component of tight junctions, which are essential for maintaining the integrity of epithelial and endothelial barriers. CGNL1 consists of 1,302 amino acids and plays a vital role in anchoring the apical junctional complex to the actin-based cytoskeleton, thereby regulating the permeability of paracellular pathways and preventing the diffusion of solutes across cellular barriers. CGNL1 is expressed in various tissues, including smooth muscle, spleen, testis, and several regions of the adult brain, such as the amygdala and cerebellum. CGNL1 exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 15q21.3. Mutations in the CGNL1 gene have been linked to aromatase excess syndrome, a condition characterized by elevated estrogen levels due to increased aromatase activity, highlighting CGNL1 ′s significance in hormonal regulation and cellular function.
