CENP-H Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CENP-H protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CENP-H antibody (G-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CENP-H (G-9) monoclonal antibody enables research into CENP-H′s crucial role in kinetochore organization and function, which are essential for accurate chromosome segregation during cell division. CENP-H features a coiled-coil structure and nuclear localization signal, maintaining constitutive localization to kinetochores throughout the cell cycle. This localization ensures proper assembly and stability of the kinetochore complex, necessary for spindle microtubule attachment to chromosomes. Disruption of CENP-H function can lead to chromosome segregation errors, potentially causing aneuploidy, a condition associated with various cancers and genetic disorders. Anti-CENP-H antibody (G-9) supports research into kinetochore function mechanisms and their implications in cell division and disease.

Can CENP-H (G-9): sc-365222 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. Yes, CENP-H (G-9): sc-365222 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
