    SEE ALSO...

CdkL4 Antibody (X-18) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CdkL4 protein of human origin by immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CdkL4 antibody (X-18) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. CdkL4, or cyclin-dependent kinase-like 4, is a crucial protein that plays a significant role in the regulation of the cell cycle, specifically in the transition from the G1 phase to the S phase. This regulation is vital for proper cell division and growth, as dysregulation can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation, a hallmark of cancer. CdkL4 is part of the CMGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family and consists of 315 amino acids. CdkL4 interacts with cyclins to form active complexes that phosphorylate target substrates, thereby driving the cell cycle forward. CdkL4 is implicated in transcription regulation and mRNA processing, highlighting its multifaceted role in cellular functions. Given its involvement in cell cycle control, anti-CdkL4 antibody (X-18) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying cell cycle dynamics and cancer biology.

Can sc-81840: CdkL4 (X-18) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-81840: CdkL4 (X-18) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
