CDKAL1 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CDKAL1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CDKAL1 (E-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CDKAL1 is 579 amino acids long and features a single-pass membrane structure with one TRAM domain, playing a crucial role in glucose-stimulated insulin secretion and maintaining glucose homeostasis in the body. CDKAL1 is predominantly expressed in the pancreas, brain, and skeletal muscle, where CDKAL1 utilizes iron as a cofactor to facilitate function. Defects in CDKAL1 can lead to impaired insulin secretion, contributing to the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes. Multiple isoforms of CDKAL1, resulting from alternative splicing, highlight the complexity of regulation and function in cellular processes.

Do you have a recombinant Cdkal1 protein to use as a standard in ELISA when using the E9 Cdkal 1 primary antibody?

Asked by: Minnie
Thank you for your question. No, we do not have a recombinant CDKAL1 protein that is commercially available.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with CDKAL1 (E-9): sc-393447 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGλ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
