Cdk3 Antibody (4B6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Cdk3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Cdk3 antibody (4B6) is available as the non-conjugated format. Cdk3 plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle, particularly in transitioning from G1 phase to S phase, where DNA replication occurs. This transition is vital for proper cell division and growth, and dysregulation of Cdk3 can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation, a hallmark of cancer. Cdk3 functions with cyclins to phosphorylate target substrates, facilitating cell cycle progression. Cdk3 belongs to a larger family of cyclin-dependent kinases, including Cdk2, Cdk4, and Cdk6, which are essential for various phases of cell cycle regulation. Cdk3′s role in cell cycle control has gained attention in cancer research, as changes in expression or activity may contribute to tumorigenesis, making Cdk3 a potential target for therapeutic intervention.
