SEE ALSO...

CD81 Antibody (EAT1) is a hamster monoclonal IgG antibody engineered to recognize CD81 protein, also known as TAPA-1, a crucial member of the tetraspanin family characterized by its four transmembrane domains. The structural integrity of CD81, with its extracellular loops and transmembrane regions, facilitates its role in organizing membrane microdomains and mediating protein-protein interactions essential for various cellular processes. CD81 is prominently expressed on cells of hematopoietic, neuroectodermal, and mesenchymal origin, where CD81 contributes to cell growth, signal transduction, and the formation of multimolecular complexes with proteins such as CD37, CD53, CD19, CD21, and MHC class II antigens. CD81 monoclonal antibody (EAT1) was developed using the CD81+ B lymphoma cell line 38C131 of mouse origin, ensuring effective detection of CD81 in mouse samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM) applications. The structural features of CD81 are vital for function in immune cell activation, viral entry mechanisms, and the regulation of cellular signaling pathways, making CD81 a significant target for research in immunology, oncology, and infectious diseases. Anti-CD81 antibody (EAT1) enables researchers to investigate the spatial organization and dynamic interactions of CD81 within the cell membrane, providing insights into CD81′s role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating intercellular communication. Additionally, the structural domains of CD81 are implicated in various pathological conditions, including cancer metastasis and immune system disorders, highlighting the importance of CD81 (EAT1) antibody in both basic and applied research. Available for use in multiple experimental settings, anti-CD81 antibody (EAT1) serves as a valuable tool for elucidating the complex mechanisms underlying CD81′s structural and functional contributions to cellular physiology and disease progression.

How can CD81 (EAT1): sc-18876 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: TinTin
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-18876 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-18876 FITC).
