    SEE ALSO...

CD48 Antibody (OX46) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects CD48 in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD48 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in immune responses by acting as a low-affinity receptor for CD2, facilitating interactions between T cells and antigen-presenting cells. CD48 expression on various immune cells, including T, B, and null cells, as well as thymocytes and eosinophils, underscores CD48′s importance in modulating immune cell activation and proliferation. CD48 associates with the tyrosine kinase Lck, which is vital for T cell receptor signaling, thereby influencing T cell development and function. CD48 expression on hematopoietic and endothelial cells in rats, and on thymocytes and macrophages in mice, highlights CD48′s significance in both adaptive and innate immunity. Anti-CD48 antibody (OX46) is an essential tool for researchers aiming to explore the intricate mechanisms of immune regulation and cell signaling pathways.

How can CD48 (OX46): sc-53052 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

    Asked by: Trav11
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-53052 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-53052 FITC).
