SEE ALSO...

CD36 Antibody (1A7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect CD36, also known as platelet glycoprotein 4 (GPIV), fatty acid translocase (FAT), glycoprotein IIIb (GPIIIB), scavenger receptor class B member 3 (SCARB3), and PAS IV. CD36 is a versatile membrane glycoprotein prominently expressed on platelets, monocytes, and umbilical vein endothelial cells, where CD36 plays a pivotal role in binding to ligands like collagen, thrombospondin, anionic phospholipids, and oxidized low-density lipoproteins (LDL). CD36 interacts with several key partners, including thrombospondins, which are involved in cell adhesion and tissue repair, as well as toll-like receptors (TLRs) that are critical for innate immune responses. Additionally, CD36 forms complexes with signaling molecules such as Src family kinases, facilitating downstream signaling pathways that regulate processes like inflammation, lipid metabolism, and phagocytosis. CD36 interaction with these proteins is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, supporting the continuous production of mature spermatozoa, and regulating inflammatory responses. Mutations in CD36 can lead to platelet glycoprotein deficiency, underscoring CD36′s importance in normal platelet function and hemostasis. Anti-CD36 antibody (1A7) exhibits reactivity with human CD36, and is recommended for use in immunofluorescence (IF) applications to study CD36-related pathways in human cells. CD36 (1A7) antibody supports advanced research into CD36′s diverse roles in cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, and immune system regulation.
