CD24 Antibody (M1/69) is a rat monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects CD24 protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CD24 antibody (M1/69) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD24 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored membrane sialoglycoprotein predominantly expressed on pro-B, pre-B, and mature B cells, with expression notably decreasing following B cell activation. CD24 is also present on granulocytes and a small subset of thymocytes and neuroblastomas, but is absent in plasma cells. CD24′s role in regulating B cell proliferation and differentiation is crucial, serving as a marker for B cell maturation. Additionally, CD24 is implicated in various hematological malignancies and a wide range of solid tumors, where expression can indicate disease progression. Notably, a shift from apical localization to cytoplasmic staining of CD24 has been identified as a surrogate marker for stromal invasion in ovarian serous tumors of borderline malignancy, highlighting CD24′s potential as a biomarker in cancer research.
