    SEE ALSO...

CD2 Antibody (TS2/18) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD2 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD2 is a crucial transmembrane glycoprotein primarily expressed on peripheral blood T lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells, and thymocytes, as well as on mouse B cells and rat splenic macrophages. CD2 plays a vital role in the immune response by mediating cell adhesion through interaction with the CD58 ligand, which enhances antigen-specific T cell activation. The binding of CD2 to CD58 optimizes immune system recognition, facilitating effective communication between helper T lymphocytes and antigen-presenting cells, as well as between cytolytic effectors and target cells. The importance of CD2 in immune signaling underscores potential as a therapeutic target in various immunological disorders. Anti-CD2 antibody (TS2/18) is an essential tool for researchers aiming to explore the dynamics of immune cell interactions and the underlying mechanisms of T cell activation.
