    SEE ALSO...

CD175s Antibody (BRIC111) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD175s protein of human origin by immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-CD175s antibody (BRIC111) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD175s protein, also known as sialyl-Tn, is a mucin-type carbohydrate predominantly found in goblet cells of the small and large intestine. CD175s plays a crucial role in the initial stages of the mucin biosynthetic pathway, significantly influencing glycosylation of proteins essential for cell-cell interactions, extracellular matrix interactions, and functionality of intracellular molecules. CD175s is responsible for transferring sialic acid, specifically N-acetylneuraminic acid (NeuAc), in an alpha-2,6 linkage onto O-linked GalNAc residues, which is vital for proper cellular communication and signaling. CD175s has been associated with hyperplasia in squamous epithelium and may serve as a biomarker for tumor regression, making CD175s a valuable tool for predicting aggressiveness of carcinomas, particularly in breast and ovarian cancers.
