SEE ALSO...

CCT A Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CCT A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CCT A (F-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CCT A protein plays a crucial role in phosphatidylcholine biosynthesis, a key component of pulmonary surfactant, which reduces surface tension in alveoli and prevents lung collapse at birth. This function becomes especially important during late gestation, as glucocorticoids induce enzymes necessary for increased surfactant production, promoting fetal lung maturity. CCT A protein functions as the rate-controlling enzyme in phosphatidylcholine biosynthesis, with proper regulation being vital for cell survival in cultured eukaryotic cells. CCT A alpha isoform localizes in the nucleus and undergoes regulation through reversible phosphorylation and membrane association, demonstrating a dynamic role in cellular processes. CCT A gene resides on human chromosome 3q, with expression being critical for functional lung development in neonates.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376107 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
