Cbp Antibody (PAG-C1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Csk-binding protein (Cbp) in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications. Cbp, also known as phosphoprotein associated with glycosphingolipid-enriched microdomains, plays a crucial role in regulating Src family protein tyrosine kinases (Src-PTKs), which are vital for growth and differentiation of eukaryotic cells. By binding specifically to the SH2 domain of Csk, Cbp facilitates membrane localization of Csk, thereby enhancing its inhibitory effect on c-Src. This interaction is particularly significant as Cbp is localized in the GM1 ganglioside-enriched detergent-insoluble membrane domain of the plasma membrane, a region essential for receptor-mediated signaling.
