CaSR Antibody (6D4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CaSR protein of mouse, rat, human, and rabbit origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). CaSR Antibody (6D4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The extracellular calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR), also known as the parathyroid cell calcium-sensing receptor, is an integral membrane protein that plays a crucial role in calcium homeostasis by detecting and responding to changes in extracellular calcium levels. CaSR is primarily located in the parathyroid glands and kidneys, where CaSR functions as a sensor to regulate calcium concentration in the bloodstream. CaSR′s location is crucial for modulating parathyroid hormone secretion and renal calcium reabsorption, thereby maintaining calcium balance in the body. Mutations in CaSR can lead to significant disorders, such as autosomal dominant hypocalcemia and familial hypocalciuric hypercalcemia, highlighting CaSR′s critical role in calcium metabolism. CaSR is also expressed in other tissues, including the intestine, placenta, and brain, indicating CaSR′s diverse physiological functions.

Are there any issues with using sc-47741: CaSR (6D4) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-47741 conjugates.
