CAS4 Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects CAS4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CAS4 antibody (H-3) is available as the non-conjugated form. CAS4, also known as Cas scaffolding protein family member 4, CASS4, HEFL (HEF-like protein), HEPL, or C20orf32, is a 786 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways. CAS4 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm and cytoskeleton, with highest expression levels found in the lung and spleen, as well as notable expression in ovarian and leukemia cell lines. CAS4 undergoes phosphorylation on tyrosines by SRC and interacts directly with focal adhesion kinase (FAK) through its C-terminal SH3 domain, suggesting involvement as a docking protein in tyrosine-kinase-based signaling related to cell adhesion. Multiple isoforms of CAS4, resulting from alternative splicing events, add complexity to functional roles in various cellular contexts. CAS4 gene is located on human chromosome 20, which comprises about 2% of the human genome and contains approximately 63 million bases and 600 genes, highlighting significance in human biology and potential implications in disease mechanisms.
