Caprin1 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects an epitope mapping between amino acids 191-217 of Caprin1 of human origin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Caprin1, also known as GPIAP1, GPIP137, or M11S1, is a 709 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the cytoplasm, cytosol, and cell projections, belonging to the caprin family. The gene encoding Caprin1 is located on human chromosome 11, a region that contains over 1,400 genes and accounts for nearly 4% of the human genome, with various genetic disorders such as Jervell and Lange-Nielsen syndrome and Jacobsen syndrome linked to mutations in this chromosome. These characteristics highlight the significance of Caprin1 in mRNA regulation and neuronal processes, positioning anti-Caprin1 antibody (F-3) as an invaluable tool for studying cellular function and development.
