    QUICK LINKS

Caprin1 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects an epitope mapping between amino acids 191-217 of Caprin1 of human origin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Caprin1 monoclonal antibody (F-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Caprin1, also known as GPIAP1, GPIP137, or M11S1, is a 709 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the cytoplasm, cytosol, and cell projections, belonging to the caprin family. Caprin1 is expressed in multiple alternatively spliced isoforms and regulates the transport and translation of mRNAs that encode proteins involved in synaptic plasticity and cellular proliferation, making Caprin1 vital for neuronal function and development. Caprin1 interacts with several key proteins, including G3BP1, CaMKIIα, and BDNF, and may form homomultimeric structures, which are essential for mRNA regulation. The gene encoding Caprin1 is located on human chromosome 11, a region that contains over 1,400 genes and accounts for nearly 4% of the human genome, with various genetic disorders such as Jervell and Lange-Nielsen syndrome and Jacobsen syndrome linked to mutations in this chromosome. These characteristics highlight the significance of Caprin1 in mRNA regulation and neuronal processes, positioning anti-Caprin1 antibody (F-3) as an invaluable tool for studying cellular function and development.
