SEE ALSO...

Calpain 5 Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Calpain 5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Calpain 5 antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Calpain 5, also known as HTRA3, is a member of the non-classical calpain subfamily and lacks EF-hand calcium-binding structures typically found in classic calpains. Calpain 5 primarily resides in the cytoplasm and nucleus, playing a crucial role in intracellular protein processing and signal transduction. Calpain 5 participates in various cellular processes, including apoptosis and cell cycle regulation, which maintain cellular homeostasis and respond to stress signals. A T-domain in Calpain 5, homologous to the Caenorhabditis elegans protein Tra-3, suggests involvement in sex determination, highlighting significance in developmental biology. Interactions with other cellular proteins emphasize Calpain 5′s importance in various signaling pathways, making Calpain 5 monoclonal antibody (A-5) an essential tool for studying these complex biological processes.
