cadherin-19 Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects cadherin-19 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-cadherin-19 antibody (D-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cadherin-19, also known as CDH19, CDH7, or CDH7L2, is a 772 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein characterized by five cadherin domains, which play a crucial role in cell adhesion. Cadherin-19 is primarily located in the plasma membrane of cells, where cadherin-19 facilitates calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion, essential for maintaining tissue integrity and promoting proper morphogenesis during development. The gene encoding cadherin-19 is situated on human chromosome 18, a region known for its dense cluster of cadherin genes, which collectively contribute to various cellular processes, including differentiation and tissue organization.
