CA V Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CA V protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CA V antibody (A-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CA V protein, also known as carbonic anhydrase V, plays a crucial role in reversible hydration of carbon dioxide, a process essential for maintaining acid-base balance and facilitating various physiological functions such as respiration and formation of bodily fluids like saliva and gastric juice. CA V protein is predominantly localized in mitochondrial matrix of liver tissues, where CA V protein is involved in ureagenesis by supplying bicarbonate to carbamoyl phosphate synthetase, thereby contributing to ammonia detoxification. Human CA5A gene encodes CA V protein, which exhibits significant expression in other tissues as well, highlighting CA V protein′s importance in diverse biological processes. With extensive applications and critical role in metabolic pathways, CA V monoclonal antibody (A-1) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying carbonic anhydrases and their functions in health and disease.
