SEE ALSO...

C4ST-1 Antibody (L18) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects C4ST-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-C4ST-1 antibody (L18) is available as the non-conjugated form. C4ST-1, also known as chondroitin 4-sulphotransferase-1, plays a crucial role in the sulfation of chondroitin, specifically transferring sulfate from adenosine 3′-phosphate 5′-phosphosulphate to the 4-O position of N-acetylgalactosamine. This post-translational modification is essential for proper localization of chondroitin sulfate, which modulates various signaling pathways and is vital for cartilage growth plate morphogenesis. The sulfation process facilitated by C4ST-1 is significant for maintaining structural integrity and function of cartilage, making C4ST-1 a key player in skeletal development and repair. Additionally, N-linked oligosaccharides attached to C4ST-1 enhance production and stability of active C4ST-1, further underscoring C4ST-1′s importance in physiological processes.
