C3a Antibody (D17/1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against complement protein factor C3a of human origin. C3a, also known as anaphylatoxin C3a, is a potent inflammatory mediator generated through the cleavage of complement component 3 (C3) during the activation of the complement system, a crucial part of innate immunity. Upon activation, C3a interacts with the C3a receptor (C3aR), a G protein-coupled receptor expressed on various immune cells such as mast cells, basophils, neutrophils, and macrophages.
