SEE ALSO...

c-Yes Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects c-Yes protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). c-Yes (C-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. c-Yes protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in regulating cell proliferation and differentiation, making c-Yes an important target for cancer research. As a member of the Src family of kinases, c-Yes (C-10) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein involved in transducing signals that influence various cellular processes, including motility and adhesion. c-Yes protein is primarily located in the cytoplasm and can translocate to the cell membrane, where c-Yes interacts with other signaling molecules, thereby modulating activity and function. Human c-Yes gene, which maps to chromosome 18p11.31-p11.21, encodes a 543 amino acid protein that shares over 80% homology with c-Src, highlighting the evolutionary conservation and functional significance of these kinases. Understanding c-Yes dynamics and interactions with specific proteins can provide insights into c-Yes role in oncogenic processes and potential therapeutic targets in cancer treatment.

I am using c-Yes (C-10): sc-46674 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: TinTin
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
