c-Kit Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to detect human c-Kit by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). c-Kit monoclonal antibody (E-1) is raised against amino acids 23-322 near the N-terminus of c-Kit and is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, ensuring versatility for diverse experimental applications. c-Kit, also known as CD117, is a transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a crucial role in regulating essential cellular processes such as chemotaxis, proliferation, apoptosis, and adhesion by interacting with stem cell factor (SCF). Post-translational modifications of c-Kit, including glycosylation and phosphorylation, are vital for proper function and regulation. Glycosylation of c-Kit is essential for stability, proper folding, and cell surface localization, which facilitates effective ligand binding and receptor dimerization. Phosphorylation of specific tyrosine residues within the kinase domain is critical for activating signal transduction pathways that drive cellular responses such as hematopoiesis, mast cell development, melanogenesis, and gametogenesis. These modifications ensure that c-Kit can accurately transduce extracellular signals into appropriate cellular responses, maintaining cellular homeostasis and normal physiological functions. anti-c-Kit antibody (E-1) effectively binds to and detects c-Kit in native and modified forms, making this antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying signaling mechanisms, disease pathology, and targeted therapeutic interventions.
