c-Abl Antibody (24-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody specifically engineered to recognize c-Abl protein, also known as ABL1, by targeting an epitope within the p120 C-terminus domain. c-Abl mouse monoclonal antibody (24-11) effectively detects both native c-Abl and the chimeric Bcr/Abl fusion proteins, which are pivotal in the pathology of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). c-Abl monoclonal antibody (24-11) exhibits broad species reactivity, being compatible with mouse, rat, and human samples, and is recommended for use in western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) assays. c-Abl protein is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a crucial role in regulating various cellular processes, including differentiation, division, and adhesion. Located primarily in the cytoplasm and nucleus, c-Abl distribution is essential for function in signal transduction pathways and maintaining cellular homeostasis. Alterations in c-Abl localization and activity are significant in the development of certain leukemias, particularly through the formation of the Philadelphia chromosome, which results in the Bcr/c-Abl fusion protein with constitutive kinase activity. By targeting the specific p120 C-terminus region, c-Abl monoclonal antibody (24-11) ensures reliable detection of both wild-type and aberrant forms of c-Abl, facilitating important research and diagnostic applications in oncology and cell biology.
