SEE ALSO...

BUB3 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BUB3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BUB3 (E-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BUB3 protein, also known as budding uninhibited by benzimidazoles 3 homolog, BUB3L, or hBUB3, is a critical component of the mitotic spindle assembly complex, which plays a vital role in ensuring accurate chromosome segregation during cell division. BUB3 contains five WD repeat domains and is essential for the proper localization of BUB1 and BUBR1 at the kinetochore, thereby facilitating the spindle checkpoint pathway that prevents the onset of anaphase until all chromosomes are correctly attached to the spindle apparatus. This checkpoint is crucial during early embryogenesis, as BUB3 safeguards against chromosomal abnormalities that could lead to developmental issues or diseases such as cancer. Additionally, BUB3 interacts with Tctex1L (or DYNLT3), a dynein light chain, highlighting BUB3′s involvement in the regulation of microtubule dynamics and the overall fidelity of mitosis.
