Brn-3 Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Brn-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Brn-3 antibody (A-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Brn-3, part of the Brn family of transcription factors, plays a crucial role in early embryonic development of the central nervous system, specifically in a highly restricted subset of neurons. Brn-3 proteins are classified into three distinct types: Brn-3a, Brn-3b, and Brn-3c, each with unique functions; while Brn-3a and Brn-3c stimulate transcription, Brn-3b primarily acts as a transcriptional repressor. Brn-3a contains two functional transactivating domains located at both the amino-terminus and carboxy-terminus, which enhance its ability to regulate gene expression. Brn-3b influences the expression of the acetylcholine receptor, highlighting its importance in neuronal signaling. Understanding the roles and interactions of Brn-3 proteins is essential for elucidating the mechanisms underlying neuronal development and function, making Brn-3 (A-4) antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying neurobiology and related fields.

We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems.
