Brk Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Brk protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Brk (G-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Brk protein, also known as Protein Tyrosine Kinase 6, plays a pivotal role in cellular signaling pathways that regulate critical processes such as cell proliferation, survival, and motility. Brk (G-6) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein that is often overexpressed in breast carcinomas while remaining absent in normal breast tissue, suggesting its potential as a biomarker for malignancy. Structurally, Brk is characterized by its N-terminal SH3 and SH2 domains, which are essential for its role as a non-receptor tyrosine kinase. These domains facilitate protein-protein interactions that are crucial for signal transduction, thereby influencing cellular responses to external stimuli. Brk′s ability to undergo autophosphorylation may further modulate its activity and regulatory mechanisms, making Brk an important target for therapeutic intervention in cancer treatment.
