BRD7 Antibody (H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects BRD7 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BRD7, also known as bromodomain containing protein 7, BP75, NAG4, or CELTIX1, is a 651 amino acid transcription regulation factor that plays a crucial role in cell cycle progression and gene expression regulation. Localized primarily in the nucleus, BRD7 is essential for maintaining proper cellular functions, as BRD7 acts as a tumor suppressor by negatively regulating the expression of key cell cycle proteins, including cyclin D1 and E2F-3, thereby inhibiting the transition from the G1 phase to the S phase of the cell cycle. This regulatory function is particularly important in the context of cancer, as overexpression of BRD7 has been shown to suppress the growth of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. Additionally, BRD7 interacts with the centrosome-associated protein BLOS2, which modulates BRD7′s transcriptional suppression activity on various target genes, highlighting the complexity of BRD7′s role in cellular signaling pathways. With diverse applications and significant biological implications, anti-BRD7 antibody (H-2) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying cell cycle regulation and tumor biology.
