BRD7 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects BRD7 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BRD7 (B-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BRD7, also known as bromodomain containing protein 7, BP75, NAG4, or CELTIX1, is a 651 amino acid transcriptional regulator that contains a single bromodomain and is predominantly expressed in the nucleus of liver, pancreas, intestines, kidney, and cerebellum cells. This nuclear localization enables BRD7 to play a significant role in regulating cell cycle progression, signal-dependent gene expression, and cell growth. BRD7 functions as a tumor suppressor, with evidence suggesting BRD7 overexpression can inhibit nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell growth by negatively regulating key cell cycle proteins such as cyclin D1 and E2F-3, thus impeding G1-S transition. BRD7 interacts with centrosome-associated protein BLOS2, and this interaction modulates BRD7 transcriptional suppression activity on various target genes, highlighting BRD7′s role in intricate regulatory networks.
