BRCA2抗体（3D12）是一种小鼠单克隆IgG3 kappa轻链抗体，可通过蛋白质印迹（WB）、免疫沉淀（IP）和酶联免疫吸附测定（ELISA）检测人类来源的BRCA2蛋白。BRCA2（3D12）抗体以非结合形式提供。BRCA2蛋白（又称乳腺癌2型易感蛋白）在维持基因组稳定性方面发挥着关键作用，特别是通过参与同源重组修复途径来修复双链DNA断裂。这一功能有助于防止可能导致癌症（特别是乳腺癌和卵巢癌）的突变累积。BRCA2基因位于13q12.3染色体上，编码一种含有多个BRC基序的蛋白质，这些基序对于与Rad51重组酶结合至关重要，而后者是DNA修复过程中的关键参与者。BRCA2基因突变可导致乳腺癌风险显著增加，而具有这些突变的肿瘤通常会表现出野生型等位基因的杂合性缺失，这凸显了BRCA2作为肿瘤抑制剂的作用。抗BRCA2抗体（3D12）有助于深入了解DNA修复机制以及BRCA2突变在癌症生物学中的意义。
