BORIS Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BORIS protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-BORIS antibody (F-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Brother of the regulator of imprinted sites (BORIS) is a crucial mammalian transcription factor that shares a paralogous relationship with CCCTC-binding factor (CTCF), a well-known 11 zinc finger protein that plays a vital role in organizing chromatin insulators and regulating imprinted genes. BORIS is a 663 amino acid DNA-binding protein predominantly expressed in the testis, with lower expression levels in the prostate, exhibiting a mutually exclusive pattern that is essential for the resetting of methylation marks during male germ cell differentiation. Abnormal expression of BORIS has been implicated in various cancers, including breast, prostate, ovarian, gastric, liver, endometrial, glial, colon, and esophageal cancers, highlighting BORIS significance in tumorigenesis. Understanding BORIS interactions with specific proteins, such as CTCF, is critical, as these interactions can influence gene expression and chromatin architecture, further emphasizing BORIS importance in both normal development and disease states.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so good as they claimI did a WB, however the bands I got are aprox 60 kDa, and I got another bands below 55 kDa, one of them is the most intense band (25-35 kDa). (NOTE: my samples are fresh and those were not sonnicated). I tried a different antibody (from another company) and I got the expected band (approx 76 kDa).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from fine resultsI used this antibody for western, IF and IP. The antibody is fine for IF. Western is depend on cell line. Not always get clear bind in western. While the band is single.
