    SEE ALSO...

bomapin Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects bomapin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-bomapin antibody (B-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. bomapin, also known as serine protease inhibitor 10 (PI10), is a member of the serpin superfamily, which plays a crucial role in regulating proteolytic processes within the body. bomapin is highly expressed in human bone marrow cells and is involved in the regulation of various biological functions, including apoptosis, cell migration, and tumor suppression. bomapin interacts with other proteins in the serpin family, which are essential for maintaining homeostasis in both intracellular and extracellular environments. The bomapin gene is located on human chromosome 18q21.3 and encodes a 397 amino acid protein that is particularly significant during hematopoiesis and cellular differentiation. bomapin expression is modulated in monocytic THP-1 and AML-193 cell lines, where treatment with phorbol myristate acetate leads to a reduction in bomapin levels, suggesting a potential role in the early stages of differentiation. bomapin monoclonal antibody (B-3) serves as a valuable tool for researchers investigating the complex regulatory mechanisms of protease activities and their implications in various biological processes.

What blocking solution should I use with bomapin (B-3): sc-514795 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
