    SEE ALSO...

BNIP-2 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BNIP-2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-BNIP-2 antibody (A-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BNIP-2 plays a crucial role in the regulation of apoptosis, functioning as a pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 family. BNIP-2 interacts with other proteins in the family, such as BNIP-1 and BNIP-3, to mediate apoptotic signaling pathways. BNIP-2 enhances the GTPase activity of Cdc42 GTPase-activating protein (Cdc42GAP) through direct binding, which is essential for the hydrolysis of GTP bound to Cdc42. This interaction influences various signaling pathways involving receptor kinases and small GTPases, ultimately impacting cell survival and death. BNIP-2 localizes to the mitochondria, where BNIP-2 associates with Bcl-2 proteins, highlighting a key role in apoptosis regulation, particularly during cellular stress and damage.
