BMPR-II Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BMPR-II protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BMPR-II (E-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BMPR-II protein plays a crucial role in the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling pathway, which regulates various biological processes such as cell differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. BMPR-II functions as a type II receptor that interacts with type I receptors, BMPR-IA and BMPR-IB, forming a signaling complex that mediates BMP effects on gene expression and morphogenesis. BMPR-II expression occurs in various tissues, including the brain, where proper functioning maintains normal physiological processes. Dysregulation of BMPR-II signaling has been linked to several diseases, including pulmonary arterial hypertension and certain types of cancer, making BMPR-II an important target for therapeutic intervention. anti-BMPR-II antibody (E-1) effectively detects BMPR-II across multiple species and applications, serving as an invaluable tool for researchers studying BMP signaling and its implications in health and disease.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393304 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 4 out of 5 by from sc-393304 REVIEWWe tried this antibody by western blot for several times, using samples of bovine pulmonary arteries. Our data suggested the first antibody dilution was 1:100 and 5% BSA was better than 5% milk as the dilution buffer. We got double bands above 95KDa when we used 5% milk as dilution buffer, but single band with 5% BSA. The bands were easier to get and clearer when using 5% BSA as dilution buffer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly potent and specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was strong detection of the ~115 kDa target protein in HeLa/Jurkat cell lysate mix, but the target was not detected in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested or in the HeLa/Jurkat cell lysate mix.
