    SEE ALSO...

BMP-5 Antibody (MM0117-9G27) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2 antibody that detects BMP-5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). BMP-5 (MM0117-9G27) antibody is available as a non-conjugated format. Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), including BMP-5, are crucial members of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFβ) superfamily, playing a significant role in bone and cartilage development regulation. BMP-5 is primarily located in the extracellular matrix and secreted by various cell types, essential for promoting osteogenesis and chondrogenesis. BMP-5 localization in the extracellular matrix enables interaction with specific receptors on target cells, initiating signaling pathways that lead to cellular differentiation and tissue formation. This spatial distribution is vital for proper skeletal structure development and bone homeostasis maintenance. BMP-5 has shown interaction with other BMP family members, such as BMP-2 and BMP-4, which can synergistically enhance biological effects. Understanding BMP-5′s role in these processes is critical for developing therapeutic strategies for bone-related disorders and injuries.
