BLC Antibody (946) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects BLC protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BLC antibody (946) is available as a non-conjugated format. BLC, also known as SCYB13, BCA1, or CXCL13 (C-X-C motif chemokine 13), is a 109 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the immune system by facilitating the organization of B cells within lymphoid follicles. BLC promotes calcium influx and chemotaxis of cells expressing Burkitt′s lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR-1), helping maintain lymphoid tissue architecture for effective immune responses. BLC is predominantly secreted and expressed at highest levels in the liver, followed by the spleen, lymph nodes, appendix, and stomach, with lower levels in the salivary gland, mammary gland, and fetal spleen. As a member of the intercrine alpha (chemokine CXC) family, BLC directs leukocyte migration during inflammation and is involved in lymphocyte homing into follicles and T-cell zones through interactions with seven transmembrane G protein-coupled receptors.
