    SEE ALSO...

βB3-crystallin Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects βB3-crystallin of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-βB3-crystallin antibody (G-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. βB3-crystallin plays a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity and transparency of the eye lens, which is essential for proper vision. Located primarily in the lens fibers, βB3-crystallin contributes to the refractive properties of the lens by forming a highly organized structure that minimizes light scattering. This organization is vital for optimal visual acuity, as any disruption in the crystallin structure can lead to cataract formation and impaired vision. βB3-crystallin′s ability to form dimers and higher-order aggregates is essential for its function, as this property allows for the stabilization of the lens architecture under varying physiological conditions. With diverse applications in research and diagnostics, βB3-crystallin monoclonal antibody (G-3) serves as an invaluable tool for studying crystallins in lens biology and related ocular diseases.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-374374 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
