SEE ALSO...

β Tubulin Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects beta Tubulin protein of mouse, rat, human, Arabidopsis thaliana, Zea mays, and Pisum sativum origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-beta Tubulin antibody (F-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. beta Tubulin plays a crucial role in forming microtubules, which are essential components of the cytoskeleton, providing structural support and facilitating intracellular transport, cell division, and motility. Microtubules are dynamic structures that undergo constant remodeling, and proper function is vital for maintaining cellular integrity and facilitating processes such as mitosis and organelle transport. beta Tubulin interaction with alpha Tubulin to form heterodimers is a fundamental step in microtubule assembly, and multiple beta Tubulin isoforms allow for functional diversity and specialization in different cell types. Understanding beta Tubulin dynamics and regulation is essential for elucidating roles in various cellular processes and implications in diseases such as cancer, where microtubule stability and function can be disrupted.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-166729 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenni
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This antibody works beautifully!I ordered a free sample about a month ago. We tried it with Arabidopsis protein extract. It recognize Arabidopsis b-tubulin at 1:1000 dilution. There was no background signal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Tubulin band, but with nonspecific bandsRan this antibody in Huh7 cells. Band at 55 kDa was nice and clear, but had two faint nonspecific bands at ~25 and 70 kDa.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from greatI like this antibody as it has strong band binding and no background.
Date published: 2017-10-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly specific antibody in tobacco + arabidopsisClear and highly specific band of medium strength in total leave extract from both tobacco (N. benthamiana) and Arabidopsis. The detection was mediated using a secondary antibody coupled to a near infra red fluorescent dye by LICOR.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great! It worked well for Hela cell samples and HEK293 cells
Date published: 2017-10-03
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good qualityThe antibody gives good result for western blotting assays (dilution 1/500), good signal strength. We obtained two bands when tested tissue samples (mice liver). However, it was clear which band was the specific one.
