SEE ALSO...

β Tubulin Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody engineered to recognize β Tubulin, also known as tubulin beta chain, across mouse, rat, and human species. β Tubulin monoclonal antibody (D-10) is raised against a recombinant protein corresponding to amino acids 210-444 of human β Tubulin, ensuring precise binding and robust performance in applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). β Tubulin is a fundamental component of the cytoskeleton, playing a crucial role in maintaining cell structure, facilitating intracellular transport, and enabling cell division through the formation and stabilization of microtubules. β Tubulin exists in multiple isoforms, including β1, β2, β3, β4, β5, β6, and β8, each with unique functions and cellular localizations, such as the neuron-specific β3 isoform. This diversity allows β Tubulin to participate in various cellular processes, making β Tubulin an essential target for research in areas like neurobiology, cancer, and cell biology. Understanding β Tubulin′s function is vital for elucidating mechanisms of cell motility, division, and intracellular organization, which are fundamental to both normal physiology and disease states. β Tubulin (D-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated form and multiple conjugated forms, including horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental setups.

What is the lower band (~33kDa) in the western blot image shown on this webpage for sample (D)-KNRK whole cell lysate? I observed this band in my HeLa whole cell lysate as well.

Asked by: Kayla08
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately this is not a band that we consistently see in our in house testing, so we have not looked into this non-specific band. We do not see it in Hela cells, so I am not sure what you could be seeing. The antibody does not cross-react with anything that should run at that size. Please contact Technical Service by phone, (800)-457-3801 option 2, email <scbt@scbt.com>, or by live chat directly on our website, www.scbt.com if you have any further questions.
