β-FR Antibody (4B12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the beta-FR protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-beta-FR antibody (4B12) is available as a non-conjugated format. The beta-folate receptor (beta-FR) plays a crucial role in cellular uptake of folate, an essential vitamin necessary for DNA synthesis and repair, making beta-FR vital for cell division and growth. Beta-FR is particularly important in cancer contexts, showing overexpression in various malignant tissues, allowing for targeted therapeutic strategies that utilize folate as a delivery vehicle for chemotherapeutic agents.
