Datasheets
  • BDP1 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 425-455 near the C-terminus of BDP1 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of BDP1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including porcine; may cross-react with PTP-PEST
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG2a BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for BDP1 Antibody (B-7) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with BDP1 Antibody (B-7) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

BDP1 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that detects BDP1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BDP1, or brain-derived phosphatase 1, is a crucial member of the PEST protein tyrosine phosphatase family, playing a significant role in the regulation of protein tyrosine phosphorylation, which is essential for various cellular processes including cell growth, migration, and differentiation. BDP1 expression extends beyond the brain, as BDP1 is also found in the colon and several tumor-derived cell lines, indicating potential involvement in cancer biology. Notably, BDP1 has been shown to selectively dephosphorylate autophosphorylated tyrosine kinases such as Src and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), which are often overexpressed in tumor tissues, thereby influencing signaling pathways that drive tumor progression. BDP1′s ability to modulate these critical kinases highlights BDP1′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment. Anti-BDP1 antibody (B-7) is an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the dynamics of protein phosphorylation and its implications in health and disease.
