BCMA Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects B cell maturation protein (BCMA) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BCMA is a type I integral membrane protein encoded by a gene located on chromosome band 16p13.1, and plays a crucial role in the regulation of B cell survival and differentiation. BCMA (G-4) antibody recognizes a protein primarily expressed in mature B lymphocytes and localized to the cis part of the Golgi apparatus, where BCMA is involved in the processing and trafficking of signaling molecules. The structure of BCMA includes a cysteine-rich domain that shares significant homology with TACI (transmembrane activator and CAML interactor), which is essential for interaction with ligands such as APRIL and TALL-1. These interactions are vital for stimulating B cell proliferation and activation, highlighting BCMA′s importance in maintaining immune homeostasis. Dysregulation of BCMA signaling has been implicated in autoimmune diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus, making BCMA a significant target for therapeutic intervention. Anti-BCMA antibody (G-4) provides a reliable tool for researchers studying B cell biology and related pathologies.
