Bcl-rambo Antibody (Rocky-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Bcl-rambo in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Bcl-rambo, a crucial member of the Bcl-2 family, plays a significant role in regulating apoptosis, a vital process for maintaining cellular homeostasis and eliminating damaged cells. Bcl-rambo is primarily localized to mitochondria, where anti-Bcl-rambo antibody (Rocky-2) can detect its pro-apoptotic effects. The mitochondrial location enables Bcl-rambo to interact directly with key components of the apoptotic machinery, facilitating cytochrome c release from mitochondria into the cytosol, which is a critical step in caspase activation and apoptosis execution. Notably, Bcl-rambo′s unique C-terminal region, containing two tandem repeats preceding the membrane anchor, distinguishes Bcl-rambo from other Bcl-2 family members and is integral to function. By promoting mitochondrial cytochrome c release and potentially activating caspase-3, Bcl-rambo serves as a pivotal regulator of apoptosis, making Bcl-rambo an important target for research in cancer and other diseases characterized by dysregulated cell death.
