    SEE ALSO...

BATF2 Antibody (1B11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects BATF2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BATF2 antibody (1B11) is available as the non-conjugated format. BATF2, also known as basic leucine zipper transcription factor, ATF-like 2, is a 274 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression by binding to specific DNA sequences in the nucleus, where BATF2 is primarily localized. BATF2 is essential for various cellular processes, including immune response and cell differentiation, making BATF2 vital for maintaining proper immune function and potentially influencing the development of autoimmune diseases. The gene encoding BATF2 is located on human chromosome 11, which is known for its dense gene and disease associations, comprising approximately 4% of human genomic DNA. Mutations in genes located on this chromosome can lead to various disorders, highlighting the significance of BATF2 in the broader context of genetic regulation and disease. Through interactions with other transcription factors and regulatory proteins, BATF2 is integral to the transcriptional networks that govern cellular responses, making BATF2 a significant target for research in immunology and related fields.

The molecular Weight of BATF2 antibody when analysed by WB,is it a fusion protein?

    Asked by: Roselcy
Thank you for your question. The BATF2 protein isoforms have been reported to run at 21kDa and 29kDa. The image on our website is of a recombinant protein, so this data is not showing endogenous BATF2 expression.

Can sc-293274: BATF2 (1B11) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-293274: BATF2 (1B11) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
