Basal bodies/ciliated cells Antibody (LhS 28) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Basal bodies/ciliated cells protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Basal bodies/ciliated cells antibody (LhS 28) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Basal bodies/ciliated cells protein plays a crucial role in the formation and function of cilia and flagella, which are essential for cellular motility and signaling. These structures are vital for various physiological processes, including the movement of mucus in the respiratory tract and the transport of eggs in the female reproductive system. Proper functioning of cilia is critical, as defects can lead to a range of disorders known as ciliopathies, which can affect multiple organ systems and lead to significant health issues. Understanding the dynamics of basal bodies and cilia is important for both developmental biology and the study of disease mechanisms.

Can Basal bodies/ciliated cells (LhS 28): sc-53224 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. Yes, Basal bodies/ciliated cells (LhS 28): sc-53224 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
