SEE ALSO...

Bag-1 Antibody (3.10G3E2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Bag-1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Bag-1 (3.10G3E2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Bag-1 protein plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis, acting as a Bcl-2-binding protein that enhances the protective effects of Bcl-2 against cell death. This interaction suggests that Bag-1 may be essential in modulating apoptotic pathways, particularly in contexts where Bcl-2 alone is insufficient to prevent apoptosis. By stabilizing Bcl-2, Bag-1 not only contributes to cell survival but also indicates that the mechanisms of apoptosis may involve a more complex interplay between various proteins than previously understood. The ability of Bag-1 to influence cell fate underscores its potential as a target for therapeutic interventions in diseases characterized by dysregulated apoptosis, such as cancer.
